Delete your account
You can delete your ClubShack account at any time. It takes a minute, and it can’t be undone.
In the app
- Open ClubShack and go to My account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Enter your password (and your authenticator code, if you use one), then confirm.
On a computer, sign in at app.clubshack.app and do the same.
Can’t sign in?
Email hello@clubshack.app from the address you use for ClubShack, and say which club or clubs you belong to. We’ll check it’s you, then delete the account. Please don’t send your password.
What happens
- Straight away: you’re signed out everywhere, and you disappear from every club’s members list.
- Deleted: your sign-in, profile, photos, adverts, notifications and settings.
- Anonymised, not deleted: where a club needs a record (attendance totals, money it received, its action log, the equipment it lent), your name is replaced with “former member”. Messages you sent stay in the conversation as “former member”, without the text.
- Your club’s own membership record is kept by the club, which decides how long (for example, for its accounts). Ask the committee if you want it removed.
- Backups are kept for up to 5 weeks, then expire. If a backup were ever restored, your deletion is applied again first.
